A Southampton property, planning and investment conference is supporting busy parents juggling work schedules and school runs with a brand new childcare space.
South Coast CPS – the south’s ‘biggest’ property show set to bring St. Mary’s Stadium to life this autumn – will be opening up the stadium’s sensory room to be used for childcare during the conference to allow parents to attend with their children.
Recently refurbished thanks to Bargate Homes, the room features a projector, sound and light panel, LED lighting and soft play.
The conference is expected to welcome more than 1,500 professionals from across the region’s entire property and development spectrum.
Business Development Manager at Morgan Sindall Construction and conference attendee Victoria Yates said: “I wasn’t sure I’d be able to attend this year’s conference but the childcare space has made all the difference. It means I will be able to attend and can focus on getting as much as possible from the day. It’s a great initiative that makes parents like me feel truly included.”
Director of South Coast CPS Lucy Richmond said: “This is a small but important addition to the conference this year. So often, parents tend to skip networking events because they just can’t fit them into their busy routines. For parents like Victoria who are returning to work, it can be a big barrier. I want the conference to be inclusive of everyone.
“The sensory room is a welcoming and peaceful space where children can enjoy supervised play and parents can be confident they’re in safe hands. I’m looking forward to seeing this year’s attendees make use of this brand new offering.”
