A group of young people searching for employment have been offered a valuable work experience opportunity thanks to a partnership between the south’s biggest property conference and Saints Foundation.
This year’s South Coast CPS conference held at St. Mary’s Stadium will see the charity’s participants become event stewards as they greet guests, assist with speaker sessions and help the day run smoothly.
The partnership will support Saints Foundation’s mission to build skillsets and bolster confidence in those furthest from the job market, helping them to step into and thrive in sustainable employment.
£5 of each ticket sale for the conference will also go directly to the Saints Foundation to help give back to the Southampton community.
Director of South Coast CPS Lucy Richmond said: “A big part of the conference is how we can make the south an ideal place to live and work. Supporting the wider community plays an important role in this, so it made perfect sense for us to partner with Saints Foundation.
“I’m delighted to be able to provide a platform for work experience opportunities. Not only will there be plenty for our stewards to help out with on the day, they’ll get to know the local business landscape around them.”
Head of Partnerships & Business Development at Saints Foundation Jazz Bhatti said: “We’re really excited to be working with South Coast CPS once again this year and we’re immensely grateful for their ongoing support. The conference is a great space for our beneficiaries to gain valuable work experience, providing a springboard for their career journey.”
